Tom Griffith became involved in recreational vehicles
long before there were any “R.V.’s”. His grandfather started a mobile
home sales and service business in 1943 in Oklahoma City before he was
born. At an early age, he began going to work with his dad occasionally
on Saturdays. Tom’s dad bought the mobile home business from his
stepfather in 1955. Tom began working in the business (setting up and
repairing mobile homes) on weekends and during the summer before he was
old enough to drive. The company, Brassfield Mobilhomes, acquired the
Airstream franchise in 1958 and later dropped the mobile homes. The
company name was changed to Brassfield Travel Trailers and was mostly an
Airstream dealership that was rated in the top ten nationally for many
years. Tom began working full time in 1966 in service and moved on to
work in every position at the dealership including Sales manager and
General manager. When his dad sold the business in 1983 to retire, Tom
began working on starting his own repair and service business. In 1984
Griffith R.V. Service was established. After managing a large dealership,
Tom decided to keep his business small enough that he could personally
control every aspect of the business and the quality of the work being
performed. He and his wife, Darla, work as a team and take pride that
they treat every job as though it was their own. Numerous Airstream
service schools, air conditioning, electronics, component technical
schools, and many years of experience have given Tom a reputation of
integrity and quality repairs. Although specializing in Airstream,
Griffith R.V. is not exclusive to that brand and welcomes any R.V. to the
same quality repair work. |
